This mattress was very soft in the store, but I brought it home and laid on it and it was very hard. Not sure if it needs "broken in", but it was very uncomfortable.

By far the cheapest mattress I have ever bought. Cheapest meaning no quality. You get what you pay for and with this mattress and box "spring", you don't get much or anything at all with this bed.
